Greetings, and welcome to MasterCollector's first round of questions and answers from Hasbro regarding their various Marvel Comics product lines!

As you know, Hasbro is the primary toy licensee for Marvel Comics, which includes Marvel Universe, Iron Man 2, Spider-Man, and more! They have generously offered to reply to several questions at various intervals throughout the year. What follows are those posed by MasterCollector for this initial session:

MC Question #1: To what degree will the Marvel Universe line continue to follow certain events in the comic books, much as the line switched from S.H.I.E.L.D. to H.A.M.M.E.R. and from showing Nick Fury on the card back to Norman Osborn?

MARVELQA: The events in Marvel Comics are awesome and we work closely with publishing to stay on top of the new story lines. Marvel has been great at sharing information to tie in upcoming events.

MC Question #2: With regard to the various Iron Man lines, based either on the previous or forthcoming movie, or the animated series, what is the decision process with regard to which Iron Man figures receive a "metallic" paint finish and which don't?

MARVELQA: It's all a part of the selection process. Some figures look better with a metallic 'candy coat' and some look better with a matte finish. Decisions are made on a case by case basis.

MC Question #3: How about the Spider-Man 3-3/4" series, what is the decision process with regard to what sort of variants of Spider-Man to bring into the line?

MARVELQA: The decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. As you know 'Paper Bag' Spidey is always a welcomed addition.
